  Truck
Truck Art is a mobile gallery space that works with a wide range of artists to achieve an unique experience for the spectator. After extensive consultation and negotiation, artists collaborate with the curators at Truck Art on specific projects. These collaborations take the form of temporal, site specific exhibitions that are held in various locations around the U.K. and across Europe. The presentation of each project lasts no longer than a few hours, allowing the gallery to operate as an artistic nomad, perpetually in search of the next stop.

One of the unique aspects of the Truck Art gallery is to present emerging artists' work in an alternative space to that of a simple white cube. The aim is to accentuate strong aesthetic and conceptual work within an environment that encourages audience engagement. The structure of Truck Art's space allows for a particular experience where the agenda of an artist's works are given a clarity often unafforded by more conventional spaces. The gallery is always 'open', in that there are no windows or shutters to filter the space outside. In this way, works shown as part of a Truck Art exhibition are distinguished by a sociability that contributes to their overall aesthetic.

Truck Art seeks to achieve this through employing nomadism as a tactical means of exhibition. This means the space and its activities cannot be fixed in one place, and cannot be settled down. The result is a sustainable fertility, where projects emerge, disappear and re-emerge in perpetual flux. With an ever-expanding number of artists joining the working rota at Truck Art, the gallery is alive with possibilities.

What is important to Truck Art is our collaborative essence: working with established artists and galleries to actualise artistic projects. Bringing unpredictable elements into proximity. There is no contingency, no conclusion. Good art doesn't present conclusions, but creates dialogues.
